Offer an Internship
Work placements and internships are highly valued by our students. Internships and work placements enable undergraduates:to explore job sectors at first hand, to showcase their own skills and aptitude, to develop the professionalism of their approach and to expand their career networks.
In response to student demand, we run a successful Internship Initiative, part of our Gateway Programme, offering a set of internships and work placements specifically for MEC students. Careers workshops in the Academic Development Programme help students to prepare, and Gateway Challenges Funding can be used towards accommodation expenses etc.
We would be delighted to work with alumnae, and others, in expanding the range and number of internship opportunities available, particularly in small or medium-sized businesses. If you would be interested in offering an internship through this scheme, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
Interested in running an alumnae event?
As well as events in College, the Development Office runs an annual programme of events throughout the UK and across the world. If you would like to help us by organising an event for alumnae in your area or year group we would love to hear from you. Whether it is an afternoon tea in your own home, an informal gathering at a local restaurant, or a larger scale dinner or weekend event, your help in widening the alumnae network would be greatly appreciated.
Administrative support can be provided by the Development Office. If you would like to find out more about running an event, please contact the Development Office by or calling 01223 762288 or emailing email@example.com.
Join the New Hall Society Committee
If you are interested in becoming more involved with the alumnae community, why not join the New Hall Society Committee? The Committee meets in College four times a year to discuss ideas for events, publications, and other alumnae activities. The termly meetings are held in College and normally begin at around 6pm with dinner followed by the meeting itself, which usually lasts up to an hour and a half.
Members of all ages are actively encouraged to stand for nomination. The Society is very keen to recruit both older and younger alumnae to the Committee to ensure that the Society's activities and publications appeal to the entire alumnae community. If you are interested in joining the committee or have any questions, you can email them directly: firstname.lastname@example.org
