Growth: Student Women’s Art Prize 2025

In 2024, the Murray Edwards College JCR and The Women’s Art Collection, invited entries for the first Student Women’s Art Prize. The prize was open to all women and non-binary students across the University, with all mediums and ability levels welcome.

The theme Growth was chosen to honour the iconic Murray Edwards Gardens and the role that they, alongside the art collection, play in enhancing student experience at Murray Edwards. Students took the theme in many different directions and the standard of work submitted was incredibly high. Works by twenty-two student artists were shortlisted and chosen to be exhibited alongside The Women’s Art Collection. The final prize-winners will be announced during the run of this exhibition on 4th March 2025.
