International Women's Day Celebration 2026
Distinguished speakers explore issues facing women today.
Alumnae, students and staff are warmly invited to attend our International Women’s Day event on Saturday 7 March at Murray Edwards College.
Each year, the College welcomes distinguished speakers to explore issues facing women today. We are delighted that Maxine Nwaneri and Barunka O’Shaughnessy will be joining us as our guest speakers. Further details are provided below.
The event will follow the familiar format of previous years, with afternoon talks followed by a drinks reception and a celebratory dinner, providing the opportunity for discussion and networking. We expect the programme to begin at 2.00pm, with talks concluding at approximately 5.30pm; final confirmation of timings will be announced in due course.
Standard tickets are £35 and include access to all talks, refreshments throughout the afternoon, the drinks reception, and a two-course gala dinner. A reduced rate of £30 is available for recent graduates (alumnae who graduated within the past five years). Plus ones are welcome and encouraged.
For those who may not be able to join us for the full day, we are pleased to offer a Talks and Drinks Reception ticket for £12.50.
We very much hope you will be able to join us, whether for part of the afternoon or for the full day, for what promises to be an engaging and enjoyable occasion!
This is a fundraising event in support of Murray Edwards College (Charity reg: 1137530).
