Preparing for your studies at Cambridge

For our new undergraduates joining us this October, please find below reading lists for undergraduate study at Murray Edwards College.  We also advise you to visit the website of your Department or Faculty for further reading lists and preparatory work.

It will be helpful for new students to spend some of their time over the summer to get ahead in preparing for your chosen course.  Guidance on what to read, or how to prepare, for each subject is provided below.

If your subject is not listed, please come back to this page again over the summer: we will be adding more reading lists as we receive them from our Directors of Studies.

Subject reading lists

History - You are encouraged to continue reading the History you enjoy and, perhaps, to think about an introductory text or two from the Faculty reading lists for the papers you have chosen for your first year

Law

Mathematics

Medical Sciences

Modern and Medieval Languages
