    02 July 2019

On Saturday 29 June under a blazing sun and blue skies, 110 Murray Edwards graduands received their degrees at the Senate House.

There are a number of opportunities for eligible candidates to graduate throughout the year, however the General Admission ceremony in June is by far and away the biggest and busiest.

Celebrations started on the Friday before graduation with a drinks reception and dinner for graduands and Fellows. On the Saturday morning, the graduands gathered at Fountain Court Walkway before leaving College to make their way to the Senate House. Following the Congregation, our new graduates returned to College to continue their celebrations with friends and family at the Graduation Garden Party.

The College President, Dame Barbara Stocking, commented: "Graduation day is an exciting milestone not only for the talented individuals who have studied at Murray Edwards but also for their families, Directors of Studies, Tutors and Supervisors. It marks the end of one chapter in these young women's lives and the beginning of the next, and I'd like to wish all our new graduates every happiness and success in their future endeavours."

The College's relationship with its students does not end with their graduation. There are lots of ways for alumnae to keep in touch and support Murray Edwards. Find out more in the Alumnae section of our website.
