As Bursar of the College, Robert has general responsibility for its financial and administrative operations and for its legal compliance as an educational charity. Day-to-day this involves control and oversight of finance and investment, residences, catering, estates management, HR, IT, porter’s lodge and the commercial activities which raise funds to support the College’s educational objectives. A material part of his responsibilities is to support the governance processes within the College. Additionally, he represents the College in relevant parts of the wider University.
The majority of his previous career was spent at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP. Outside work, he is the Governor of a leading local school and rowing coach, including for the Murray Edwards College Boat Club crews.
