Biography
Leila Jahangiri has been involved in Murray Edwards College since her student years. She graduated from Murray Edwards College, University of Cambridge, in 2012 with a PhD in gene regulation. After this, she did postdoctoral fellowships at Harvard Medical School and the Ludwig Institute for Cancer Research at Oxford University. She returned to Cambridge in 2016 and worked as a senior postdoctoral associate at the lab of Professor Suzanne Turner, Department of Pathology, the University of Cambridge. At this time, she reconnected with Murray Edwards College by presenting frequently at open days, subject taster days, and webinars. She supervises natural sciences biological students in various papers, including Biology of Cells, Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, and medical and veterinary students in Molecules in Medical Sciences. She has also taught at Magdalene and Emmanuel colleges.
