    Introduction 

    This page is for members of Murray Edwards College. It includes information and links to key resources regarding the University and College’s response to COVID-19 for the 2020/21 academic year. 

    Key information will be emailed to College members and disseminated through other communications channels as appropriate. Please read any communication carefully and if you have any questions, please discuss these with your Tutor or your line manager in the first instance.

    Information for all students: Living in College

    We have produced a document: 'Living in College: a guide for students'. This document was last updated on 6 November 2020. Please read all the information carefully and make sure you have understood it.

    Information for international students

    If you have questions around travel, visas and immigration matters, please look at the University web pages for the latest information and guidance. If you have specific questions or concerns, please get in touch with the Tutorial Office and the Accommodation Office in the first instance.

    All students should check their emails regularly for information from the College, their Department or Faculty, and the University.

    Information for Fellows

    The College has been in touch via email regarding returning to College. You will see there are some changes to our usual processes, and how we live and work in College. These include changes to dining arrangements and how we conduct supervisions.

    Before you return to your office in College, please make sure you have read and understood the guidance.

    Information for staff

    The College has been in touch via email regarding returning to work in College. You will see there are some changes to our usual processes, and how we work in College.

    Information for Directors of Studies and supervisors

    The Cambridge Centre for Teaching and Learning has created some useful material and guidelines for all those teaching remotely.

    The College will be in touch with you shortly regarding returning to the College buildings. There will be some changes to our usual ways of working in order to minimise risk to everyone in our community. Before you return to College, please make sure you have read and understood the guidance.

    Catering

    The Dome is open for a takeaway service during the following times:

    Monday to Friday

    • 08:00-09:30 – Breakfast
    • 10:15-11:30 – Coffee shop
    • 12:00-12:30 – Lunch (staff)
    • 12:30-14:00 – Lunch (students)
    • 12:30-13:45 – Lunch (Fellows)
    • 14:45-17:00 – Coffee shop
    • 17:30-18:45 – Dinner

    Saturday and Sunday

    • 11:00-12:30 – Brunch
    • 14:30-17:00 – Coffee shop
    • 17:30-19:00 – Dinner

    The Dome is also open daily from 10:00-17:00 as a shop, where you can buy cupboard essentials such as pasta, rice, bread and cheese.

    In the event of a further lockdown

    In the case of a second national lockdown in England or a local lockdown in Cambridge, the University and Colleges will, as ever, be guided by government advice and legislation. All members of the College community will be kept up-to-date via email and other communications channels as appropriate.
