The library offers a wellbeing programme for all College members. 

For Easter Term we have a wellbeing exhibit in the library display cabinets in the walkway by the book-return bins. For those who aren’t at college, watch a video and see images of the display cases on the library’s Instagram account, on the main grid and in the “Wellbeing” highlight.

Wellbeing events
The following in-person, outdoor, wellbeing events are now taking place at college during Easter Term. Booking is essential due to limited spaces – please book using the library booking calendar here. Please note these are all weather permitting and events will still take place if it’s drizzling. In the event of very wet weather the sessions may be cancelled, in which case an email will be sent advising of any changes on the morning of the event.

Craft and chat 
Craft hour will take place every Wednesday morning at 11 am in the garden at the back of 69 Storey’s Way. Please meet at the bottom of the Canning and Eliza building, no earlier than 5 minutes before the session.  Equipment and hand sanitizer will be provided. (In wet weather this will be moved to a marquee in smaller groups of 5 per group in line with “rule of six” guidance).

MEdwards meander
Every Tuesday at 12 noon the gardeners will be taking small groups of students on short 15-20 minute wellbeing walks around the college grounds. Please meet in Library Court by the covered walkway adjacent to the Library.

Yoga
Outdoor Yoga with Valerie will take place on Wednesday mornings between 12 noon and 12.45 and on Thursdays between 17.00-17.45 in the garden at the back of 69 Storey’s Way.  Please meet at the bottom of the Canning and Eliza building, no earlier than 5 minutes before the session. Bring your own mat (or towel if you do not have a yoga mat).

Virtual wellbeing activities
Virtual crafts, wellbeing walks and bite size yoga videos, that can viewed at any time, are available on the Rosemary Murray Library YouTube channel and the Teams me@3 channel.

Other in-person and online wellbeing & craft activities are offered on an ad-hoc basis, so please keep an eye on our social media channels:

Wellbeing materials
The library has a range of books on wellbeing, including texts on studying, insomnia, healthy eating, mindfulness and particular mental health issues. They can be searched for on iDiscover and are available via the Click & Collect service. 

A wellbeing eBook collection Leganto reading list is now available, and can be accessed online with a Raven username and password. The list brings together eBooks on the subjects of addiction & dependence, illness & disability, finances, grief & bereavement, mental health, mind management, race & anti-racism, sex, sexuality & gender, sleep, and mindfulness.

The University Counselling Service are providing support for students during this period, and the University also has a page of advice and resources which you may find useful.
