Accessibility information by area of College

There is step-free access to the main entrance to the College and the Porters' Lodge from Huntingdon Road and Buckingham Road.

There are five steps from the drop-off area up to the main entrance and the Porter’s Lodge. The steps are shallow (approximately 100mm) and long (approximately 650mm) and no handrails are provided - see Figure 2.

Steps leading to entrance doors

Figure 2: Steps from drop-off area to main entrance and Porters' Lodge

An alternative step-free route is provided, which is narrow (approximately 1180mm) and long (approximately 13m) but shallow enough to be considered a slope rather than a ramp. The surface is uneven in places - see Figure 3.

Shallow paved ramp
