Request Form

If you require a letter confirming your student status for bank or other purposes, please complete the form below. The Tutorial Office will normally process your request within five working days, but please allow up to ten working days during vacations. Letters will be put in pigeonholes for collection unless you give us alternative instructions.

The University is responsible for issuing official degree certificates and Certificates of Academic Record (transcripts). Original degree certificates are issued without charge to all students when they graduate. Certificates of Academic Record are sent to college Tutorial Offices for forwarding to graduands after graduation (normally within two months). PLEASE NOTE: The Tutorial Office will NOT prepare official transcripts. They must be ordered directly from Student Records. Details are on the Student Records and Administration web site.

PLEASE NOTE that if you require a letter for VISA purposes, email studentvisas@admin.cam.ac.uk directly. The Tutorial Office no longer prepares such letters EXCEPT for Shengen visas. GRADUATE STUDENTS requesting Visa letters, please email graduatestudents@admin.cam.ac.uk.
