Photographs
The University Photographic and Illustration Service
The University Photgraphic and Illustration Service offers a complete photography and framing service for graduands on the day, at every Congregation. During the course of the graduation ceremony an individual photograph is taken of each graduand at the moment that the degree is conferred. To reserve a copy of this photograph either on the day or at a later date, graduands are asked to complete and return an order form which is included in the Senate House Programme issued on the day. Please note that graduands and guests are not permitted to use still cameras or video cameras inside the Senate House.
Following the ceremony, while you rejoin family and friends on the lawns of the Senate House, photographers are available to take individual or group portraits. There is no need to make arrangements in advance as this is all organised on the day.
Graduation Portraits
Local Photographers take graduation portraits throughout the year, but graduands will need to arrange studio sittings independently. A full list of photographers can be found in online. At General Admission, this service is available on the day in College.
Special Arrangements for General Admission
At General Admission, as well as taking the formal group photograph, Lafayette photographers will be present in College throughout the day to take studio-style portraits as well as more informal pictures of graduands and their guests in the SCR or Fellows' Garden (depending on the weather). The sitting is free of charge and does not commit you to buying the resulting photographs. All of the photographs will be available almost immediately on the Lafayette website for you to view and purchase if you wish. You will be given an "Album Code" to access your photographs.
