The Tutorial Office

The Tutorial Office is located in the Administration Corridor on the ground floor. It is the records and administration centre for Murray Edwards students. In addition to maintaining student records, it deals with matriculation, examination enrollment, applications for financial support, graduate admissions, Freshers' Week, Graduations, and general tutorial inquiries.

Open Hours

The Tutorial Office is open 9 am to 12.30 pm and 1.30 pm to 5.00 pm Monday through Friday. If you have a query outside of these hours, please email us at tutorial@murrayedwards.cam.ac.uk.

You can request letters (e.g. for banks and landlords) by going to this link.  Application forms (e.g. for financial support) are also available online.  Student hardship applications must be co-signed by your tutor and Academic Needs applications by your Director of Studies.  Funding decisions are made at meetings near the end of each term. 

If there is an emergency outside of office hours, please contact the Porters (01223 62235) who will be able to put you in touch with a member of staff or a Tutor.

CamSIS and CamCORS

The online Student Handbook is essential reading for new students and an important source of reference for all students at Murray Edwards College. It explains the policies and practices of the College and University and gives useful practical advice and information about academic, financial and other tutorial related matters.

Please note that this College is still referred to as 'New Hall' in some University systems. Murray Edwards College and New Hall are one and the same.
