Academic Guide

Cambridge is widely recognised as one of the top research universities in the world, but it is also one which through its collegiate system gives priority to helping each individual student develop and enjoy their full academic potential. The richness of its resources and the breadth of its provision inevitably means it appears complicated at times. This document aims to help you find your way within it; it explains - as far as is possible in a general document aimed at people reading all subjects - what you can expect of the people you will be working with, what is expected of you, and what to do if you think something is going wrong. If in doubt, ask someone who might know; you'll all the sooner yourself become someone who knows.
