Roshanthi Lucas: MBA 2006-2007My name is Roshanthi Lucas and I come from the beautiful island of Sri Lanka. Prior to starting the MBA in September 2006 at the University of Cambridge, I studied Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering and worked as a corporate technical solutions engineer at a telecom service provider in Sri Lanka. During this time period I realised that I was more of a people person, and that an MBA would greatly help me to switch from engineering to management. I have returned to Sri Lanka and am evaluating between a number of managerial positions here. Though I was a bit apprehensive about moving miles away from home and family to Cambridge, I was welcomed with open arms by the students and staff at New Hall and it turned into my home away from home and I have made lifelong friends. |
