Graduate Accommodation
A generous donation from Canning and Eliza Fok allowed the College to build a new graduate accommodation block, Canning and Eliza Fok House (referred to by students as 'Canning and Eliza') which was fully opened to graduates for the start of the new academic year in 2008.
It can accommodate 40 graduate students, in groups of 8 en-suite bedrooms which share a very spacious kitchen / living area. All study bedrooms have both a large and a smaller full height window, making them well-lit and pleasant spaces. On the ground floor, the MCR (Graduate Common Room) offers a wonderfully light and modern space for social gatherings. The entire building enjoys exceptional views over the College's grounds.
The accommodation is situated in the heart of the College grounds with easy access to all college facilities, including the Dining Hall and Library and all rooms have high-speed connections to the College computer network, offering our graduate students the best living and studying conditions possible.
Other facilities include several storage rooms for luggage, a laundry room, a covered bike shed and a computer room adjacent to the comfortable and well equipped common room that has its own kitchen, television and spacious seating area.
Our accommodation provides a home from home atmosphere and encourages daily informal contacts which can grow into lifelong friendships for generations of postgraduate students.
We have a small number of more economic rooms available for graduate students in houses close to the College. Please see schedule of current rents and charges - Grad Rents and Charges 2013.
