Inspiring excellence
New Hall was founded to provide a thriving academic community in which women from all backgrounds are mentored and inspired by remarkable scholars. Our commitment to this vision remains as strong today as it was in 1954. Building an exceptional fellowship and attracting students with outstanding potential continue to be our highest priorities.
The generous financial support of the College's alumnae and friends was fundamental to New Hall's development. From the Association for a Third Foundation for Women, to fundraising for the College's permanent buildings on Castle Hill, and then strengthening its endowment, our friends have been there every step of the way. This support remains equally vital to the future of Murray Edwards College, enabling it to meet, and exceed, the ambitions and aspirations of its Founders.
I hope that you will join me and the many New Hall alumnae and friends who are supporting the College, by pledging a donation during the coming year. Your gift will help realise the aspirations of our academic community and will make a real difference to the women studying here, both now and in future generations.
Dr Jennifer Barnes, President
