About the 800th Anniversary Campaign
In 2009 the University of Cambridge celebrated its 800 year history of providing education, learning and research at the very highest level. The Cambridge 800th Anniversary Campaign aims to raise £1 billion to help ensure that Cambridge secures this long tradition of excellence for the future. All gifts to the colleges and the University count towards this total and £940 million has been pledged so far.
