Murray Edwards Virtual Tour |
The DomeRising above the other College buildings, the Dome is Murray Edwards' signature building. Grade II* listed, it was designed by Chamberlin, Powell and Bon and was fully refurbished in 2002. The Dome houses the Dining Hall and is the primary display area for the College's renowned New Hall Art Collection. When it was constructed The Guardian wrote:
The Dome is the College's main dining hall and is an exceptionally light, open and spacious triumph of modern architecture. It plays host to a College cafeteria service at lunchtime and early evening, and to more formal waiter-served, three-course dinners (Formal Halls) on Tuesdays and some Fridays during Term. It is an excellent venue for both student and conference dining, whether informally or formally. Near the Dome:Orchard Court More information about booking the Dome for a conference. |
