Dr Mark Roberts
University Lecturer, Fellow and Director of Studies in Land Economy Murray Edwards College Telephone: 01223 337147 ProfileMark Roberts' research interests are currently centred on the theoretical and empirical investigation of processes of regional growth and development in both developed and developing countries. In 1993 he received an MA in Economics at Cambridge and an MSc in Economics at the University of Warwick, before obtaining his PhD in Cambridge in 2001, on the subject of national and spatial growth disparities. Mark Roberts was appointed a Fellow at New Hall/Murray Edwards College in 1999, and a University Lecturer in the Department of Land Economy in 2008. His research draws on both neoclassical and alternative theories of urban and regional growth, the new economic geography and spatial econometric techniques. He has also conducted macroeconomic research into the theory and empirics of economic growth. In addition to his roles at University, Mark Roberts is a Co-editor of Spatial Economic Analysis, and an International Consultant for The World Bank. |
