University Dates - "Keeping Term"

IMPORTANT: As a requirement of the University, all undergraduates must be in residence for the following number of nights which, if not kept during Full Term may be made up with nights kept in the period either before the beginning or after the end of Full Term, but within University Term:

Michaelmas Term: 59 nights;
Lent Term: 59 nights;
Easter Term: 52 nights

Full Term is the name given to the period during which all undergraduates should be in residence and during which all University and College teaching takes place.

University Term defines the period within which all students must keep the number of nights' residence required by University regulations. University term dates are more or less unvarying each year.

Graduates are also expected to keep term.
