An exhibition of photographs by alumna Alex Rotas (NH 1968), which is currently on display at Murray Edwards College, was featured today on BBC Radio 4's Woman's Hour.
Alex Rotas' exhibition showcases her photographs of athletes in their 60s, 70s and 80s who still compete in international competitions. Alex, a veteran tennis player herself, challenges the kinds of images of older men and women that prevail in our culture. Her work shows it's possible to look wonderful without pretending to be younger than you are.
You can listen to the Woman's Hour feature here via the BBC iPlayer - the item is approximately 25 minutes into the programme.
The Veteran Athletes exhibition will be on display in the Jocelyn Bell Burnell Room at Murray Edwards until Sunday 2 September 2012.
